I figure the current King platform is 78W and 6 inches shy for length (74"). New Queen is 60Wx80L (actually an inch off all around). I figure 8 to 10" each side for approximately a 58" width. The end length won't change and the 6" will still be there. My concern would be how much distance is useable between wardrobe slide and bed slide when closed as my mattress is butted into the wardrobe at 80". Unless you can get a special cut plywood anything in excess of 48" will have to be patched in for approximately 55 x 60 layout (55+25 inlay for the slide=80). This is planning stage, while in storage, so rough calculations.
