I have always done winterizing in the old-fashioned conservative way. We use the pink stuff for everything. Water lines, Spendide and our dishwasher. It takes about 4 gallons or $10 and we have not had a problem the last 10-12 years. The Splendide takes about 3/4 to a gallon, we cycle hot until pink in the drum, cycle cold until pink in the drum, then spin the pink out. It has never failed us.
