Thanks DQDick. My husband traced the water flow in the pipe after he did this and he did not put a hole in the pipe. The water was almost ready to overflow in the shower even though I was using the water intermittently. Something wasn't right! Funny thing about the green paper sticky dot next to the drain with the penned,"D" on it? Wonder why that was there? He plans on replacing it! We did put the screen over the drain too as I have long thick hair that sheds!
