About 6 months back I purchased a Panasonic DVD player/recorder. It has both an analog and a digital tuner! Works better that I thought possible.

So here's what I'm thinking: If anyone makes a Home Theater system about the same size as the crapola one that came with the Monty, and it has a digital tuner like my DVD recorder this may be the best of all possible answers.

I talked to the folks at Crutchfield and they said they have nothing like this.

Anybody already been here? Found anything?
