I like simonsrf's idea of a rubber band around on the globe where the screws meet. Somehow metal screws on a glass globe in a perpetual 5.0 Earthquake Trailer can't be good. I don't have a rubber band that big so I will slice up a piece of some "vent tape" (rubberlike adhesive) that I have lying around. I can cut it thin so it's not so noticeable and it is designed to adhere and retain it's adhesive-ness even near the heat of the lamp.
