I put over 100,000 miles on my 2005 6.0, primarily towing and the truck never saw a mechanic except for a couple of computer flashes. If you are going to continue to pull heavy rigs and keep your truck for a long time, I would look very hard at a diesel over a gasser. Torque is the difference, 405Lb vs 800lb at significantly less RPM than the gasser. And the V10 is history, for Ford.
