Very Good information Tom, there are a lot of laws we may not be familiar with , its an ever changing system. I know towing a trailer (doubles) behind a fifth wheel confuses even some of the FHP , I know my neighbor was pulled for towing a boat behind his 5th wheel, after thumbing thu the DOT book, the FHP let him go, he was unable to confirm or validate whether it was legal, Neighbor knew it was as lengths and weights had all been determined and verified and cleared through a DOT officer.
I should be ok on mine for now holding a Class A with Air brakes and Doubles endorsement. for now anyway
