The gas strut would help but the problem is it has to go full open to allow the Moryde steps to operate. So you have to be careful to run the awning in before you put the steps up or down. I do love the steps though. Basically the crash was my fault as I am aware how this works but I was in a rush and not paying attention.
That's why I call it a stupid tax a phrase coined by Dave Ramsey.
