You seem to be worried about your wives 2 knee replacements. i have had total knee replacement done on both my knees. the first in 1998 and the other in 1999. They are still going strong. Better than when I was 35 and I am 74 now. The knees should last if you don't do a lot of high impact exercises like jogging. And I do mean a lot.
