I have that system. Have you operated your unit without the repeater yet? I got the repeater with my kit but never needed it. All wheel monitors work fine and the signals are received by the dash mounted unit fine. Just say'n. Maybe you don't need the repeater.

However, that being said, I would mount the repeater in the rear window of my tow vehicle with velcro and run the power cord under the rear seat to a power source. Mounting in the front storage comp. is an option and power is generally easily accessable. But don't forget to turn it on and/or off as needed.
