When on a site for an extended period of time, I run our slides in and out every few weeks...prior to doing these I use a spray lube/cleaner sold by CW on the slide mechanisms and them wipe the mechanisms down...do not know if this activity makes any difference (as some have pointed out), but gives me some peace of mind.
