I have used a product for over 30 years that you can get from Advance Auto that you spray on weight till it is almost dry wipe off, repeat hose off, done. It is called Purple Power and cost about $10 per gallon. You mix with 50% water. It cleans wheels as good as any wheel cleaner I ever bought, and has never harmed any surface I have ever put it on.
