For all of you who are recommending the glow-steps, if the OP has the entry door behind the rear wheel and the 'suicide step" the glow steps will mount and hang down just as low as the original steps and be damaged just like his original steps were and caused the problem.

I wanted the glow steps on mine but they would have been bent and damaged just like the original ones on steep entry and exits. That is why the LCI in the doorway steps were the only way I could go and probably the only option for the OP.
