We're recreational campers not long or full timers. The old standby RV gas/electric fridge suits us well. The other half doesn't care for stainless which most all residential fridges come in plus we don't need mega refrigeration capacity. Gas/electric have been around for years and years and work as designed if you treat them right. I added an ARP control (with fan control) to mine after I installed a couple on campground acquaintances ... it does it's job and lets you drop a number on the cooling control.
