I have a 3665RE and my panel is also at the front door. I took the power feed off the panel and spliced 50 amp wire to it. then I ran the wire through the basement above the curb side basement door and drilled two holes from the basement front wall into the propane compartment. I ran the wire through one of the holes, accross the top of the front compartment and mounted the surge protector near the battery on the back wall. Then, out of the bottom of the surge protector, I ran a wire to a 4 wire 50 amp stove outlet. From there, I plugged in a 4 wire 50 amp stove cord and wired it to a junction box. From the box, I ran 50 amp wire back through the second hole that I drilled and wired it back into the panel. When I add an autoformer, I just need to unplug the stove cord and plug in the autoformer. I hope I haven't confused you with this explanation. If you have any questions, PM me and we can talk on the phone.
Jim
