Not that it's a truckers version of GPS, but the new vehicles that at least have Android Auto or Apple Car Play allow you to use Google Maps.
Those Google maps are pretty much upto date, and give you traffic information if nothing else. I never thought that I would get another vehicle without GPS, but cars today aren't as good as other alternatives for sure. It was great at first, but no so much now.
It is definitely not a make or break option anymore...
