I am 62 and prefer 200 to 300 miles per day. I can do more if necessary and have twice done 800 miles with the usual meal and relief stops. But I was pretty well shot after those trips. Those were definitely exceptions. Normally 200 to 300 is plenty. We're not usually in a hurry. After all, we don't have to get back to work or anything else except maybe granddaughter birthdays.
