In the spirit of keeping everyone informed (and drumming up more interest), we have found out some details to post. We are trying to get Friday the 7th of August set up for a group tour of the Beckley Exhibition Mine. It will be about an hours drive from the campground at Wytheville and we are hoping to tour around noon. We believe the rates will be about $14.00 per adult and $8.50 per child (under 18). We have requested information from Pipestem Resort as well, to see if we can arrange to reserve a covered pavillion to stop over for a picnic lunch after the mine tour and then take a ride on the Aerial tramway. We am trying to find out the costs for the tramway ride and whether there is a fee for the tables, etc. Unless something changes we will be car-pooling for these tours. We will keep everyone posted. We will be posting sign-ups soon for the individual event coordinators which we will need for the rally.
