I think something some are missing is a thing called the safety factor. Gross weights can be exceeded fairly easily. I am a case in point, I have discussed this before and it need not be dicussed again. Keep in mind, every time you hit a bump in the road you increase the load on the tires, this is a given. Curbs get hit ocassionally and increase the load on the tires. I would rather be well under on my tires capability than at the upper limit. This is just my opinion, I spent many years in aviation not to be aware of increasing loads. Having said all this, it is an individuals choice as to what tires to ride on, I just hope they keep safety in mind as they are not the only ones on the road when that tire seperates.
