Some states only allow a width of 102" (without a special permit). With awnings permanently attached, the width is over that. See this article

As of 2016, the High Countrys have gone back to the narrower width. The 2015 (my camper) is a wide model and I was a little concerned about it, but heck, the mirrors on my truck are 109" wide! I haven't had a problem.
