We did similar to Rondo and others, but our Lexan's thickness needed the a small amount of gasket so we used an old telephone extension line (two wire type and white color) to snug it.
Based on advice from HOOK (Larry Sessoms) we took our door to a glass shop and for $97 they cut the Lexan both top and bottom to fit based on my instructions where we can occasionally pop out the Lexan to clean. We now have plenty of daylight while using air conditioning.
