Good video. Good suggestions. Breaking down in the middle of nowhere is a scary concept, especially with a rig that is difficult to tow.
Can the truck and 5th wheel be separated by pulling the disabled truck using a tow chain from another truck? I suppose this is a one-way proposition because you won't be able to re-hitch them until the disabled truck is fixed. But a good Samaritan with a tow vehicle could help separate the two, then take the 5th wheel to a nearby campground, then bring the owner back to resolve the disabled tow vehicle issue. I guess you'd have to be awfully lucky to find someone willing to do this.
