Improved overhead light for reading

The light over our recliners is a 110 volt fixture. We had a 60-watt incandescent light bulb installed and it just wasn't bright enough for reading. So Dick added a socket to the overhead light and inserted two Compact Flourescent Lihtbulbs (CFL's) rated at 100W each but using 23 watts each. We chose the daylight bright. Now with the 2 sockets and CFL's we have the equivalent of 200 watts, but are drawing less than the original one socket with the 60 watt bulb. Bought second socket for $2.50 at Lowes.
