I personally, would not take a trailer from Norris, north to Mammoth Hot Springs; too narrow and too many tight turns.
The road from fishing bridge to the east entrance may be closed due to avalanche danger at some times of the year. This was the case when we visited there in 2011 a week before Memorial day.
