I too rotated my handle so it would clear the toneau, but I also use the tire method, just a little harder with the 17 inchers than the 16s on the old truck. The fact that GM made the sides of the box about 2 inches higher than the old truck adds to the problem, but I'll live with it for the increased power and the exhaust brake, what a difference.
