I am very new to the 5th wheel world and I wound up getting the Anderson hitch. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel with the standard 6'8" bed and I can do a full 90 degree angle without even coming close to the cab with the nose of my 5er. It's a 2018 High Country 321MK that weights about 11,100 lb empty and the pin weight is around 2300 lbs. I have no trouble towing with my 3/4 ton truck. Very stable and comfortable.
