Those switches are not much of a design but seem pretty rugged. In 50 years can only recall replacing one that I had to and that was after it got physically damage. I also pull that switch pin when I bleed the disc brakes.



If for any reason that you are concerned, they are only 10-12 bucks and take a few minutes to replace.



Oh and those curly wires - they do work nice keeping the wire out of the hitch. I use the 4 foot version
