Kudos to Dimplex & Shurflo

I have the optiflme fireplace (made by Dimplex) and called them because I had a problem: the glass broke in the middle of the night, while turned on and the heater makes noise. The company, without hesitation or proof of purchase, sent me, at no cost, new glass and heater.

As an aside, I told them that I had had the heater on non-stop for about 3 days. They told me they don't recommend more than about 6 hours of use at a time, but they have not heard of the glass breaking before. How do you all use your fireplaces?

Similarly, Shurflo sent me a new remote control and PC board for their fan. Again, they asked when I purchased it and I told them that I had purchased it from our dealer just about 2 weeks prior. The installation of the PC board was a bear, but all is now working as it should.

I wanted everyone on this forum to know that these two companies, for me, went above and beyond.
