Saw both at an RV show when we were not in the market for one. DW was not a fan of the Alpines. When we were getting serious about our 3701, we went to a dealer that had not only 3701s but Alpines.
Granted both of the Alpines we toured had substantial damage on the inside, DW felt they were more cheaply made.

I did ask the salesguy if they were trying to push folks away with having such damaged units for show or just highlighting how bad service would be after the sale, if they could not have an undamaged unit for display.
