My 2015 F350 has a block heater. I used it once when in Northen Ca in the mountains. Temp got down to about 23 or so the first night and the truck started ok. Forgot to plug it in the second night and the temp got down to about 18 and the truck started ok so I guess it needs to be much colder to require the heater.
