I wish I had the answer, but I don't, so I will be following this thread hoping someone will have some suggestions. We have a BIG dog, Lab mix, about 85 pounds. She starts panting within a few minutes of our towing and never stops until we set up camp. She has traveled all over the United States and we have learned to live with it. She rides in the back seat of our pickup and does great after we stop. The panting does not seem to do any harm, but it is not pleasant for us. It's been almost 10 years and, as I remember, she did not do this at first but once it started it has not stopped. We've tried all the things you mentioned without any effect
