I think I'm with CORattler in how you able to figure that one out. Debugging a generator means, I check for fuel, make sure the switches are in the right place and that's pretty much it. I'm gonna have to go look at mine to understand what you're talking about. But I'm gonna go have some dinner so it will have to be some time later.

Does your fix mean you no longer have noise suppression since you are now just using a small piece of metal? And by noise suppressor I imagine you mean electrical noise not decibels and with that piece of metal you are pretty much overriding whatever was there. Does this mean you intend to order a proper replacement? Not being as electrical savvy, I'm just trying to understand the importance and long term ramifications. I have two of these that I want to keep running without major repairs because someone else is way smarter than me and will charge a fortune for the information. Thanks a bunch for helping me understand.
