High Cost Truck
I have a 2006 6.0 dually now with 128,000 miles.
It has cost me a mint!
1. FICM failed
2. Turbo rebuilt 2 times
3. EGR failed.
4. Oil Cooler failed
5. Dropped a valve
6. Two transmissions have failed
7. 2 Fan Clutch fans have failed
8. Oil pump failed
I have always taken great care of it, oil changed on time, serviced transmissions, changed cooling fluid, added cooling fluid filter.
She has been a lemon.
Under the recommendation of my Ford service manager I had the new hardened head studs put in by my Power Stroke mechanic.
For a while there, every time I towed with it, I had a failure. Max speed 65 mph.
I have lost almost confidence in her and would like to change up to a Dodge Ram with a Cummins. One day I will break the bank and go for one.
