If you happen to get contaminated Diesel your factory warranty will not cover the damage. It’s considered abuse just like you dumped water in it or acid rain. The manufacturer don’t consider it their fault. These new high pressure fuel systems are extremely fragile. They run at pressures at 25000 PSI or over and are made to extremely tight tolerances and will tolerate no abuse. I replaced my OEM filters with much larger 2 micron filters. Will that prevent this from happening every time? No but it might help.
