Requested recipes from Quartzsite gatherings

Hi all,
Okay, so I forgot to whom, of you all, wanted me to email you some of my recipes from our Happy hour gatherings so instead, I thought it would be easier to just post them here for you. Had a great time here in Q, thank you all for the nice complements on the food. Okay here goes:

GRAPE SALAD
8 cups grapes (seedless) about 4 lbs
Cream together
1 8oz cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbls vanilla

In a large bowl add grapes and blend well

1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
mix and spread on top and refrigerate

Crab Tartlets
INGREDIENTS
• 2 (12 ounce) pkgs refrigerated biscuit dough or (premade phyllo dough shells found in the freezer section at the grocery store).
• 1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese, softened
• 1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
• 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
• 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 pinch paprika
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 12 tartlet pans.
2. Divide rolls in half and press into the prepared tartlet pans. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, crab, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, Cheddar cheese, green onions and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon 1 teaspoon of mixture into tarts and garnish with paprika.
4. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until light brown. These freeze wonderfully. Just reheat before serving.

HOT CRAB MEAT APPETIZER
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
6 oz. frozen crab meat, thawed, or canned crab meat drained and picked over
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. cream style prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/3 c. sliced toasted almonds
Blend all ingredients in small casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with crackers.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball
Ingredients
• 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 3/4 cup HERSHEY’ฎS Mini Chips Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
• 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
• Graham crackers
Directions
• In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until
• fluffy. Gradually add sugars; beat just until combined. Stir in
• chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
•
• Place cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap; shape
• into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
•
• Just before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans. Serve with graham
• crackers. Yield: 1 cheese ball (about 2 cups).
•
Nutrition Facts: 1 serving (2 tablespoons) equals 206 calories, 17 g fat (8 g saturated fat), 31 mg cholesterol, 101 mg sodium, 14 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 2 g protein.

Mexican stuffed jalapenos Recipe “poppers”
Ingredients
• 10 Jalapenos
• 1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
• 1/2 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
• 1 cup cream cheese
• 1 tbspn fresh minced garlic
• 12oz chorizo *
• 1/2 cup onion fine chop
• pinch of fresh cilantro fine chop
• Juice of 1 lime
Directions
1. 1. Cut jalapenos in half, rib and seed them. Roast in oven at 350 for 7 minutes then place to the side to let cool.
2. 2. Cook chorizo with the onions in a pan until chorizo is done. Drain off grease.
3. 3. Mix chorizo, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and cheeses in a bowl.
4. 4. Pipe or spoon the mixture into the jalapeno shells the sprinkle a little extra Mexican blend on top then bake at 350 until cheese melts and gets a little brown around the edges.
* make sure you don’t go cheap with this purchase, the inexpensive Chorizo is really really greasy!
