I won't argue that point. ALL of the manufactures seem to have low build standards!!! A good dose of regulation would improve that but it would also COST us more so the question becomes what is the balance between cost and quality?
FYI, I wasn't particularly happy with the steps on my unit either and have been looking at the new style aftermarket steps that fold up INSIDE the doorway of the camper. They are much heavier built and solid feeling. Also look to be better mounted to the unit...
