Our Sylvania still works fine. I would also consider the LED because they take less power while on batteries. My eyes can't tell the difference. They are past that level of good.
Ask them if the LED's can be frozen, if you live where that might happen. I leave my Sylvania in the camper all the time so it freezes. I just don't use it till it warms up. I would expect these tv's to have a shorter life because of the temp changes and the vibration of travel.
