I did find out from the manufacturer with the retail versions if the signal is too strong their devices will actually degrade the signal. Wasn't expecting that. We are on the road nearly all year and use the internet for everything so connectivity is critical. We are on a Verizon plan with a Verizon jet pack and two smart cell phones. I can not remember the last time we could not get acceptable internet access. Coverage has improved over the last few years. Back in the 3G days we had a Wilson amp but have not had the need since 4G. Does not hurt to cover all bases tho.
