Sewer Hose Storage

I have a 2012 3100 RL and was thinking of using 3 hose clamps to suspend a 6 foot length of 6" ABS from the 2" x 1" C channel that spans the main frame. It would be located about 2 feet in front of the entrance steps.
Does anyone foresee a ground clearance problem with this?
This option seems to be easier than having to mount the round pipe (or a square vinyl fence post) on the outer side of the main frame with screws and strapping although I do realize you achieve more ground clearance.
As one other member noted, he cemented the door side of the pipe with an end cap and the opposite side with an inside thread fitting that allows for a screw-in access plug.
