Going thru the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel system in Virginia we were only required to turn off both bottles. Tunnels on the Penna Turnpike do not require turning off the propane.
The HAZMAT restrictions refer to bulk tankers and rarely ever carry over to the bottles we carry.
