I started looking today at track and pendant lighting fixtures to provide some better lighting in our kitchen. I want to go with 12 volt fixtures because they will be an easier replacement/upgrade. On some of the kits I saw today I noticed that they can use either 120V or 12V light bulbs. So excuse my ignorance here, but can I use this type fixture wired into my 12V system using the 12V bulbs and will it work? If so, it looks like there is a wide variety of choices and should be fairly simple. Oh by the way, the bulbs are 50 watt halogen GU10 base but there are lower wattages available.
