Yes it is Gaelic and no I am not fluent. Maybe when I retire ........... (sigh). My favorite quote is from the 51st Highland Regiment memorial at Beaumont Hamel. "La a'Blair s'math n Cairdean" which translates into "Friends are good on the day of battle." Very apt for today as it is the 93rd anniversary of the Royal Newfoundland Regime's decimation during the battle of the Somme at this location. For those who are interested here is the wiki site.
