In my old rig I ran a DC circuit directly from the battery to the back of the trailer where my radio was mounted on my desk. I used 8 gauge wire. I would not do that again. I would do as John Kohl did and have a separate battery very close to the radio. Good luck, KA6TZP, Dennis
