Measure the back end of the truck empty then measure loaded then you will know how much it squats. Mine dropped about 2 inches loaded-3480 pounds hitch weight. I installed airbags and put just enough air in them to bring my truck back to level. It's not a matter of needing them but whether you want your truck and rv running level which I do.
