If I am going to a new area, I use Google maps, Allstays (it will show bridge heights) Gamin, and trucker atlas. I also use Mountain West Directory for Mountain pass info.
I then have my route planned and use the GPS. I'll ignore it if it tries to deviate my route. Unless of course it flags a low bridge I missed
I try REAL hard to keep my ACs intact
