Sounds like the newbie was the one that put the cable assemblies into the holes of the convenience center. I would open the flush valve on the toilet, pour in a bottle of red food dye, and see which tank pull results in red out. If you haven't yet taken off the wall that covers the side of the center...time to check behind there for loose connections on the pex and you might just be able to see which cable goes where. John
