Thanks for the replies.
Calculating the pin weight was a real eye opener.
The trailer weight appears to be within limits, with 12505 being the shipping wt, and 15785 being the GVWR. The truck max trailer wt is 15800, and combined wt is 24500.
But GVWr for truck is 10000, and wt of truck with Fuel, hitch, wife, dog, and me is just shy of 8000.
Which leaves 2000 for pin weight.
So it looks like I'm about aprox 1000 over on pin wt.
With that being said, it appears that any Montana trailer will be close or over the pin wt for for any Chevy 3/4 ton.

Am I wrong with my math?
Do most folks just say it's close and "feels" ok?
I'll be reading more about tow vehicles, but thanks for making me get into the numbers.
