We camped throughout the Southeast (Bristol, TN, Darlington, SC) in our 2010 3400RL and found we could get by with the front AC at night and the rear one during the day. With a soft start, neither AC presented a problem for our Honda e3000is. It's not inexpensive and not terribly light but we managed for several years. Eventually my lower back (and my doctor) told me to stop lifting heavy things (in excess of 100lbs) so I installed an Onan 7KW. It is terribly convenient.

Gave up some storage space but we no longer have to turn the AC off to make a pot of coffee in the morning.
