Tom, you are correct in the idea of a one piece tube and getting it exact. My theory, or assumption at this time is that putting L types bracket on the end and welding one bracket on one end. On the opposite end another angle with a C-clamp on it, take it to the trailer and adjust that clamp to where it belongs re-clamp it, take it in shop and weld it. Right now, just an idea, when I get to it things may change. Or in my case, usually does. My blueprints aren't always the best lol. Will take pictures as I do it next spring, as the weather is just a tad bit to chilly for laying under a trailer.
