So I put a little grease on the top gear. I had some SAE 140 gear oil so I poured some down the top of each leg. I ran them up and down twice and I had a little oil coming out of the right side leg but not the other side. I wiped it off and went in the house for about 30 minutes, I went back out and the oil is all over both legs and on the pads and ground. so it doesn't hold the oil in, but at least everything must be coated with the oil???
